1.      Outcome Orientation

Outcome Orientation is about becoming focused on what you are trying to achieve and how to get there, rather than focus on what you don’t want. When you become focused on what you wish to achieve, the brain will begin to generate the patterns that will make you likely to succeed. What you focus on is what you will get.

After all if you pulled up at Paddington Train station, and you wanted to know which train to catch, and you asked the guard, “where is this train going?” and he said “out of here!”, you would be none the wiser as to whether or not it was going where you wishes to go.

Focus on what you want to achieve, never on what you don’t want.

Outcome Orientation

Lost in the woods, Alice was beginning to worry whether she would ever find her way out. Then she noticed, sitting in a tree a large cat, grinning broadly from ear to ear.

“Excuse me puss, please would you tell me.” said Alice, a little timidly, for she was not quite sure whether the cat might take exception to being addressed in such a fashion. But the cat just grinned more broadly. Plucking up courage, Alice took a step forward and said; “excuse me puss, can you tell me the way out of here?”

“Well”, said the Cheshire cat, “that all depends”. “On what?” said Alice. “On where you are trying to get to of course!” replied the cat. “Anywhere” said Alice “as long as it is out of here!” “Well then, I suppose any direction will do” said the Cheshire cat, “as long as you walk far enough.”
